What is Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile Dysfunction is the inability to either get an erection, or to maintain an erection long enough for penetration.
Ask yourself, Does your partner get frustrated when you can't respond sexually? Do you have low self-esteem due to your lack of intimacy?
After several attempts to resolve my ED by using injection therapy, oral medications and the vacuum device, the only resolution for me was an IPP (inflatable penile prothesis). Dr. Freedman and I went the conservative approach initially, but we both felt I was a perfect candidate for this procedure. It took me 10 years to decide, which in looking back I lost 10 good years of quality sexual relations.
The IPP is simple and discreet: A small pump is placed in the scrotum for inflating the implant. A reservoir is located in the abdominal area for holding saline. Cylinders are then inserted in the penis. All of this is through a 1-inch incision. You can maintain an erection as long as you and your partner feel necessary. The best part is all of these components are concealed within the body, not visible to the eye.
