Dr. Sheldon J. Freedman

Dr. Sheldon J. Freedman completed his undergraduate degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. He graduated from medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1977. His residency in urology was completed at Washington University in St. Louis in 1982. Dr. Freedman has been in practice in Las Vegas since 1983 and is on staff at most of the local hospitals. He was Certified by the American Board of Urology in 1984. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the American College of Surgeons in addition to many other professional organizations. His medical practice deals with urologic problems in men and women with special emphasis on sexual dysfunction, urologic oncology, pelvic floor reconstruction, stress incontinence, and stone disease.

Dr. Freedman has had a strong interest in research and has many clinical trials available to residents of Las Vegas. Together with Cynthia Freedman, RN, studies have been completed on prostate cancer, BPH (enlarged prostate), overactive bladder, bladder cancer, sperm mobility, and PCA3 testing. In addition, he has published articles and spoken about urological conditions and treatments for many types of audiences, including for seniors, at conferences, hospital settings and for pharmaceutical companies.
